mel adams: slow it down therapy
My journey began in beauty therapy, where my love for skincare led me to train with some of the world's most prestigious brands, including Chanel, Shiseido, Decléor, and Crème de la Mer. Working in London's luxury skincare industry gave me invaluable insight into nurturing the skin, body, and soul.
After moving back to Chichester, I spent time at Goodwood Hotel, further refining my craft with Elemis and Elemental Herbology. I deepened my knowledge through specialized training in pregnancy massage and cancer massage, reinforcing my commitment to providing safe, adaptive, and compassionate care for all. As a holistic massage therapist, I believe that every body is unique, which is why my treatments are tailored to suit your specific needs.
My expertise includes:
Deep tissue massage - to release tension and restore mobility
Reiki energy healing - to encourage emotional and physical harmony
Indian head massage (Level 3) - to relieve stress and enhance well-being
Colour therapy - to align the body's energy and mood
Sports massage (Level 3 & 4) - to promote recovery and relaxation
While I don't offer every treatment I've trained in, I intuitively adapt my approach to suit your needs, lifestyle, and goals. Whether you're seeking relief from stress, chronic pain, pregnancy discomfort, or simply need time to reconnect with yourself, my mission is to help you slow down, unwind, and feel truly restored.
If you're ready to experience a holistic approach to wellness, I'd love to welcome you to Slow it Down Holistic Therapies.

jo & thea mays: eclipse homeopathy
We are Jo & Thea, mother & daughter, and both homeopaths with a deep love for nature and its power to heal.
Jo & Thea have decided to come together in a mother-daughter collaboration to offer a unique experience to clients. Consultations can be held by either one of us individually or together to offer further insight into your symptoms.
Jo began her journey into homeopathy began when one of her daughter’s faced anxiety due to Asperger Syndrome. A homeopath parent introduced us to this gentle, natural form of care, and it changed our lives.
Thea is currently undertaking the 4 year licentiate to qualify as a homeopath and has already worked with a number of clients gaining great improvements on their health and quality of life.
For years, homeopathy has helped our family to manage anxiety, asthma, and even my severe migraines and back pain. When our own homeopath retired, we returned to conventional treatments, but we struggled with side effects and recurring issues. This experience deepened my belief in homeopathy’s effectiveness, inspiring me to train as a practitioner.
Now, we are passionate about helping others find balance and wellness through this natural, holistic approach. Whether you’re seeking relief from physical ailments or emotional challenges, I’m here to guide you on your healing journey.
Homeopathy is a 200-year-old system of medicine that is both gentle and powerful. It takes a holistic approach, treating the whole person rather than focusing on individual symptoms. By assessing mental, emotional, and physical aspects, homeopathy aims to uncover and address the root cause of an issue.
Initial consultations are thorough and may last up to two hours, while follow-up appointments typically take up to one hour.
Homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances and are carefully diluted to make them non-toxic. These remedies are administered as small, dissolvable pills and are safe for everyone, including babies, pregnant women, and the elderly. They can also be safely used alongside conventional medicines.

hollie monhenius: well house reiki
Reiki is an ancient form of energy medicine developed and formalized in early 1920’s Japan. This natural healing therapy promotes calm and balance by strengthening the body's natural healing processes and releasing blockages in the energy system. Energetic blockages are formed and sustained by the barrage of energies we come into daily contact with in our environments. There are many ailments that in fact begin as subtle energetic imbalances and Reiki aims to resolve these small imbalances before they become bigger problems.
Hollie - Reiki Master & Meditation Teacher Hollie is a Reiki Master in the Usui Tradition and was first introduced to Reiki 18 years ago after the birth of her first child. Initially fascinated by the rebalancing aspect of Reiki, as Hollie’s interest, training and practice has grown she now deeply recognises the spiritual elements of the system and brings this awareness and the concept of non-duality into all her treatments. She works intuitively, helping clients to deeply relax, to soften, open their awareness and reconnect to their own true essence ~ their divine bright light.
In a treatment, the client remains fully clothed and if comfortable to do so, will lay on a Reiki couch. Hollie will first connect the client mindfully to the breath and then guide a visual meditation for deeper awareness and grounding into the body. She will then place her hands either on or just above the body to channel the subtle, natural healing vibration of Reiki. Clients can expect to leave a session feeling at peace, spacious, rebalanced and re-awakened.
Qualifications include Usui Reiki Ryoho I, II & III Master Level; Intuitive Reiki & Reiki Treatment with Reiki Master Teacher Torsten Lange; EFT Levels I & II; Guild of Energists Modern Energy Tapping Foundation; Meditation Teaching Diploma & Meditation Teacher Training accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals; Natural Mindfulness Guide Training accredited by IMMA. Hollie is a member of the UK Reiki Federation and The Guild of Energists & is fully insured.
Hollie runs a small, drop-in Meditation Circle at Mill Yard every Thursday morning where her gently lead meditations will incorporate both traditional Reiki meditations and energetic visualisations amongst other meditation types such as Mindfulness, Nature-based Mindfulness (Forest Bathing) and Mantra. Sammi Leese: Hynotherapist
Sammi is a qualified psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist who specialises in supporting teenagers and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, low confidence, and sleep difficulties. She uses gentle, evidence-based techniques including hypnotherapy, CBT, and NLP to help shift the brain out of the primitive fight or flight state and back into calm, logical thinking.
Sessions focus on how the brain works, why we feel the way we do, and how emotional responses can be influenced through practical daily actions. Sammi works collaboratively with her clients empowering them to achieve their desired outcomes and goals, developing personalised strategies that support progress both in and outside of sessions.
Sammi’s approach is calm, supportive, and future orientated. Rather than revisiting past experiences, sessions aim to strengthen resilience, develop helpful coping mechanisms, and build new patterns of thought and behaviour. Clients learn simple and effective tools that support emotional regulation, confidence, clearer thinking, and more restorative sleep.
Clients often describe sessions as calming, insightful, and empowering. Clients report improvements such as reduced anxiety, better sleep, increased motivation, greater clarity, and feeling more able to cope with everyday challenges.
Alongside one-to-one therapy, Sammi delivers workshops for schools and community groups on topics including how the brain works, emotional regulation, stress, sleep, and how daily habits influence brain chemistry. Each workshop ends with a guided relaxation to demonstrate how quickly the nervous system can settle.

Milla Daukes: Holistic Therapist
Milla offers an integrative approach to health and wellbeing, combining hands-on bodywork with gentle energy-based techniques.
Her treatments, quite uniquely, are specifically tailored to the needs of each individual, interweaving her three disciplines of Systematic Kinesiology, Holistic Massage and Reiki.
Each session is intuitively guided as Milla works on the client’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies providing a truly holistic approach. Massage releases muscular and nervous system tension, Systematic Kinesiology identifies imbalances in the body through muscle testing, and Reiki then promotes energetic flow and emotional calm.
Her bespoke treatments are deeply nurturing, support relaxation, energetic alignment, and emotional wellbeing.
Milla is a firm believer in taking a holistic approach to healing. Back in March 2020, Milla contracted Covid and suffered with long term Covid symptoms and struggled to find adequate health support. Researching into alternative therapies, Milla discovered and benefitted greatly from a form of Kinesiology called Systematic Kinesiology, and saw her health improve dramatically.
Her own recent health journey, together with her background in arts, dance and energy work has inspired her to develop a deeper awareness and understanding of energy, healing, and holistic health.
Systematic Kinesiology - is a complementary holistic health therapy that uses gentle muscle testing to tap into the many functions of the body, structural, nutritional, energetical and emotional. Finding imbalances in the body using a series of techniques which include nutrition, lymphatic massage, emotional work, and electrical balancing to correct these imbalances.
Holistic Massage - is treating the person as a whole - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Massage has a positive impact on all body systems, bringing them into balance and creating overall well-being conditions for better healing. Massage relaxes taut muscles, aids lymphatic drainage, releases toxins and is beneficial for the whole body. Physical and emotional stress can be reduced through therapeutic touch and a myriad of other restrictive problems can also be alleviated.
Reiki - is a hands-on energy therapy that gently nurtures and stimulates the body's natural self-healing processes, unblocking the energy within us to promote relaxation, rejuvenation, and well-being. Reiki treats the whole body and goes to the source of conditions - whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
New clients - 90 mins (to include a nurturing consultation to establish your individual needs).
Follow-up appointments - 60 mins
If you are looking for a more holistic approach to your health, Milla would love to welcome you to her clinic on Thursday afternoons at Mill Yard.
