An Autumn Day Retreat - The Final Breath of Harvest
As the year turns inward, this day offers a space to slow down, soften, and return to ground. The season reveals itself in the changing quality of the days: the fading light, the drying and falling of leaves, and the final fruits on laden branches before they, too, are released.
Between the second and third harvests, October is a month of discernment and completion. A time to notice what has ripened and lay down what we have grown tired of carrying, to shake them from our shoulders and draw our energy down into our roots.
This Autumn day retreat invites you into rhythm with the turning season and the wild world around us. Through movement, nourishment, rest and warmth, we’ll tend the foundations that sustain us, creating space to refocus, refine and realign before the darker, quieter months arrive.
What to Expect
Spacious Arrival - Arrive slowly with a cup of herbal tea, allowing the journey to settle before we begin.
Welcome Circle - Gather around the fire (weather permitting) to arrive together, sharing a warming cup of spiced cacao as we open the space and set our intentions for the day.
Somatic Yoga - A slow, inward practice exploring the fullness of the season as it leans towards release. Gentle movement unfolds into long, supported shapes, with bolsters and blankets inviting the body to soften.
Foraged Lunch - A lovingly prepared, locally foraged lunch shared together in the Piggery.
Afternoon Nourishment - Time to slow, savour and rest in our surroundings at Mill Yard. The group will divide into two, alternating between the warmth of the sauna and quiet time in the studio with journalling, reflection and oracle cards.
Sound Bath - A sound journey carrying the last breath of harvest, inviting you to sink into yourself and let the day's experiences settle within.
Closing Circle - Returning to the fire, we'll close with a seasonal ceremony, sharing reflections and anchoring intentions for the darker months ahead.
