speciality coffee, fresh local food, and a warm welcome on the barlavington estate
Mill Yard Café is a dog friendly café set on the Barlavington Estate, just moments from the South Downs Way — making it a favourite stop for walkers, cyclists and locals alike.
Whether you're pausing mid-walk, cooling down after our wild sauna, or gathering after a yoga or Pilates class, our café is a place to rest, refuel and reconnect.
We serve guests from a converted horsebox in a sunny farm courtyard, with cosy indoor seating available in a converted barn for cooler days (or when you need shade….).
Our seasonal menu is made with locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, and dogs are always welcome — both indoors and out.
speciality coffee, roasted locally in chichester
Great coffee is at the heart of the Mill Yard Café.
We've partnered with Cast Iron, an artisan coffee roaster based just minutes away in Chichester, to bring you a brew that's as sustainable as it is delicious.
Our single-origin Catanduva coffee is grown by Marie Nakao, a third-generation coffee producer known for her commitment to regenerative farming. It's rich, sweet and low in acidity, with notes of chocolate.
We're committed to sustainability throughout: compostable cups, discounts for bringing your own cup, and coffee grounds repurposed as compost. Cast Iron use zero-waste buckets and compostable bags too.
