Winter Wellbeing: Deep Rest Retreat

In the depths of winter, we dream, we rest, and prepare for what is to come.

Join us at Mill Yard for a day to meet the deeper layers of your being, build reserves of rest, strength, and vitality, and give you a good glug of nourishment.

Winter, especially at its end, is the season to replenish, so that we have the chance to give out, share and create as Spring arrives.

The day begins with slow, spacious arrivals and a warming cup, before facialist Nicole guides you through a gentle exploration of the face and its connective tissue, or fascia. Through slow, considered techniques and mindful touch, you'll be invited to loosen what has gathered in the brow and ease tension in the neck and jaw, while deeply nourishing your skin.

From here, Verity carries the same principles into an embodied movement practice, easing you in with myofascial techniques that work through deeper layers of tissue, before letting it all settle in an integrative somatic movement piece, leaving you feeling spacious, grounded and deeply at ease.

After a nourishing lunch in the Piggery, the day spills into the afternoon with time to slow, savour and soften. The group will divide in two, alternating between the sauna and quiet time by the fireside in the studio, where you'll find journalling prompts and oracle cards. In the sauna, watch the wintry landscape outside as the heat seeps into cold bones and loosens the body further.

We close the day with the most delicious extended rest: a softly spoken Yoga Nidra that lulls you into Crystal Sound, an integration piece designed to support deep sleep.
