This is a relaxed, drop-in, summer holiday session for families to work together to create a unique piece of nature-inspired artwork to take home.

Week One:

Create unique, magical sun prints using some of the many beautiful plants that grow naturally in and around Mill Yard (cyanotype).

Cyanotype is the “original” sun-printing process and one of the earliest photographic techniques. It produces rich, Prussian blue monochromatic prints, and was once an inexpensive method for reproducing photographs, documents, maps and plans (hence the enduring architectural term “blueprint”).

Sessions are led by local artist & teacher Dominique Kenway.

Drop-In - but if you’d like to let us know you are coming we can save you a spot. All children must be accompanied by an adult while at Mill Yard. Parents are welcome to make some art too!

Thursday 30th July 10am - 12pm

£15 for one adult + one child, additional children £5 (pay on the day)

Week Two - takes place on Friday 7th August: Natural Weaving

Dominique is an art teacher and educator with extensive experience of teaching adults and children in a wide variety of settings.

Dominique is passionate about the creativity of others and aims to create a supportive workshop environment where everyone matters and everyone works at their own pace. She teaches art to primary age children at Graffham School.

Her own artistic practice centres on drawing and landscape painting and she is particularly inspired by the beauty of the South Downs.
