Sound Interwoven: Nettle

An immersive sound journey through the spheres of Cello, Crystal Alchemy singing bowls, flute, voice and Shamanic drum.

Embark on a transformative sound journey as Garwyn and Verity meld the expressive tones of the Cello with the ethereal vibrations of Crystal Alchemy singing bowls. In this month of green awakening, we will weave sound with nature’s poetry, accompanied by the life-giving tonic of wild Nettle tea.

Spring has a mysterious way of bringing latent things to the surface. Minds reignite, bodies shift, and the world around us pulses with life. It is a season to lighten, vitalise, and clear. It is no coincidence that the first green shoots of the season support this process of reviving tired, weary souls and lifting the heavy layers of winter.

The Spirit of Nettle is sharp, vital, cleansing and protective. Valiant and verdant, it's one of the first wild plants to germinate in early spring. Some say the name 'Nettle' comes from the Anglo-Saxon word Netel, meaning 'needle'-a reference to the small, sharp prickles that give this green ally her sting. An innate protective mechanism, Nettle's sting teaches us boundaries with an awakening touch, reviving, purifying, and supporting those who harvest mindfully.

Beyond its physical attributes, Nettle plays a crucial role emotionally, helping us connect with our fire energy, re-sparking vitality and restoring our resilience while clearing the dampness of grief and congestion in the system. Its medicine goes deep into the body, breaking up stagnation while cleansing and purifying the blood. Nutrient-rich, Nettles are fantastic for rebuilding after convalescence, supporting the entire system with rich bioavailable iron and serving as a superb lymphatic tonic!

“Nettle cuts loose old patterns and re-weaves connections." — Susun Weed

Once we have received the medicine of Nettle, we will rest in body, bathed in Sounds Interwoven. Guided through a liminal journey, you will be led gently into and out of the sound. Afterwards, there will be space for reflection and sharing for those who wish, fostering connection and insight. Join us on this journey of replenishment, rejuvenation, and wild alchemy!
